How far in advance should I book?

A few days’ notice lets us fit your move around emergency work and usually means a better price. We can often do same-day or next-day moves too, so ask.

Do I need to be there at collection and delivery?

Not necessarily. Many customers arrange for a seller, garage or auction house to hand over the keys. Tell us who’ll be at each end when you book.

Can you move a car that doesn’t run?

Yes. We winch non-runners onto the truck and use skates for vehicles that won’t roll. Tell us about flat tyres, missing wheels or seized brakes when you book.

Is my vehicle insured while you move it?

Ask us when you book and we’ll explain the cover that applies to your move.

Not every recovery is an emergency. When you need a car or van moved from one place to another, book a time that suits you and we’ll collect it, strap it down on the flatbed and deliver it.

Moves we handle

Auction purchases. Collected from the auction site and delivered to your door or your garage.
Private sales. Bought a car with no tax or MOT, or one you’d rather not drive home? We’ll collect it from the seller.
Garage trips. To and from an MOT, a service, a body shop or a specialist.
Non-runners. Project cars, cars off the road for years, or vehicles going to a breaker.
House moves. Your second car or your van, delivered to your new address.
Dealer and trade moves. Vehicles between branches, to customers, or to and from preparation centres.

Booking a move

When you get in touch, have ready:

The collection and delivery addresses, and the best day and time for each
The make, model and registration of the vehicle
Whether it runs, whether the wheels turn and whether it steers
Who will be at each end with the keys

We’ll confirm a fixed price and a collection time, and let you know when the vehicle is on its way.

Auction collections

Auction sites usually have set collection hours and need a release note or buyer’s number before they’ll hand a vehicle over. Send us those details when you book and we’ll handle the collection. Let us know if there are storage charges or a deadline, so we can plan around them.
